Born out of a last-minute gig in Wellington, New Zealand, Solo Ono (originally Frank Eggleton and Jordan Stewart), has evolved from a scrappy indie-punk outfit into a dynamic, international act. Their sound - melding melodic hooks, fuzzy guitars, and sharp lyricism - draws from influences like Jesus and Mary Chain, Best Coast, and Juliana Hatfield. With releases like the Rogue Planet EP and Now We Know Who to Blame, they've built a reputation for balancing political bite with offbeat humor, making them a compelling live act.

Now based in Graz, Austria, with Frank Eggleton (guitar/vocals), Birgit Bachler (bass), and Juri "Jürgen" Schlögl (drums), Solo Ono continues to thrive in the DIY scene. Their 2023 single Looking Out - funded by New Zealand on Air - showcases their signature mix of urgent energy and wry storytelling. After a rowdy 2024 debut at Kombüse and an upcoming support slot for Berlin's 24/7 Diva Heaven, the band is eager to bring their high-energy, fuzz-laden sound to new ears.
