Nouveau Arcade

Seattle’s Nouveau Arcade lives somewhere between underground electronic culture and synth-driven alternative rock. Formed by Len Hotrum and Kevin Preston, the band builds a sound around pulsing electronics, dark textures, and emotionally driven vocals, shaped by a strong pop sensibility. Their songs balance atmosphere with an undeniable melodic pull. Rather than sitting neatly inside one genre, Nouveau Arcade carries a dangerous post-punk edge while continuing to explore new territory. Their sound resonates with the culture shared by gamers, music fans, and the communities that bring those worlds together.

With Nouveau Arcade, the duo have expanded their sound into a electro rock retro-futuristic hybrid style – somewhere between familiar dark synth influences à la Depeche Mode, or The Cure, David Bowie and contemporary hybrid electro Rock with elements of Muse, M83, Health, metric ,Gunship, joywave. Kevin and Len have named the result “Modwave.” Combining the pair's admirable creative background and diverse songwriting skills with their collaborator Stefan Scherperel's expertise in photography and music videos, Nouveau Arcade is soon to be one of the most talked-about acts in music today.
