Acerca De Rianne Downey
Rianne Downey
“Dolly Parton if she came from the east side of Glasgow” - Bob Harris
Rianne Downey’s courageous and beautiful songs form an emotive cloudburst of hope sung by and for those once lost, but now found forever in the enduring embrace of music. Flawed by Amy Winehouse and in thrall to The Specials, taking strength from Dolly Parton and falling for the understated sixties country-pop cool of Patsy Cline, the smart and sensitive songwriter picked from a constellation of heavyweight influences as her confidence grew and, original, country-hued songs began to pour out of her.
