Carving out her own space in the alt-pop landscape, Lois has quickly established herself as an important rising voice amongst the next wave of Northern artists. With a lyrical eye for the experiences that often go unspoken, the Leeds-based songwriter has navigated topics ranging from grief and trauma to identity and sexual liberation through her music. Now, with two EPs and a series of sold-out shows, Lois is introducing a new side of her artistry as she finds moments of joy and euphoria through dance floors and dark corners.

Having started songwriting as an outlet for processing some of the difficult experiences she faced at a young age, Lois left her hometown of Morecambe at age 16 to pursue music. Signing her first record deal at 19, her confessional debut EP ‘Strange Men’ arrived in 2023, alongside shows with The Lottery Winners, Ellur, and SOFY. Returning in 2025 as a fully independent artist, Lois’ sophomore EP ‘SEVEN’ saw her let go of the experiences that once defined her. Named as EP Of The Year by BBC Introducing and with support from BBC Radio 1, 6 Music, DIY Magazine, and Notion, it culminated in sets at Kendal Calling and the Royal Albert Hall.

After selling out her debut tour earlier this year, Lois is reinventing herself once again on her third project. Channelling influences from Prince and Eurythmics to today’s leading names in Self Esteem and Haute & Freddy, it hones a sound that is unapologetically her own, blending ‘80s nostalgia with modern production. With lead single ‘Small Town Party Girl’ already racking up co-signs from Elton John, ITV and Record Of The Day, alongside landing a support with Sophie Ellis-Bextor this summer, it’s clear that Lois is exactly where she’s meant to be.
