We are The Strange, a five piece alt-rock band with sound influences ranging across decades, from 80's new wave to 2000's post- punk revival. Our music weaves confessional lyrics over rock and R&B grooves, decorated with indie-rock guitars and dreamy synths.
We released our debut EP in January of this year. It presents selected tracks written in the summer of 2020 after an isolated period of self-reflection during lockdown at the beginning of the pandemic. The lyrics illustrate feelings of grief, loneliness, self-awareness and the desperate desire for expansion and change. The Strange EP is available for purchase and download on Bandcamp, and available for streaming on Spotify and other places.
