The Midnight Howl

The Midnight Howl is an alternative roots rock outfitted with members of J.Isaiah Evans & The Boss Tweed, Cool Jacket, Texicana, and others. Starting in 2022, The Midnight Howl carries a mix of influences learned from a mix of swampy roots rock, americana, and psychedelia. Dallas Observer describes their sound “like something that's been pulled from the past and tastefully revamped to the modern age.” Fronted by singer-songwriter, Dev Wulf, the band’s lyrical focus reflects on learned experiences, broadened perspectives, and uplifting choruses. Their song “Guiding Light” draws inspiration from gospel music that sets the stage as a vehicle to deliver a simple message within the human experience. “It stands as a reminder to always hold onto hope in times where the dark days seem to overcast the brighter ones; To remind each other that we don’t have to walk alone; and though tomorrow is never promised, we can still predict the sun will shine on us again. When we begin to live that within ourselves, the darkness won’t stand a chance.” (Dev Wulf, KXT.org)
