Great show.

Not just a cover/tribute group. Talented, innovative musicians reproducing Pink Floyd with their own style. For the 3 hours they played, I was never bored. The encore of Another Brick/Shakedown Street was so cool! Please. Come back soon!

John
Jeff Pevar, wearing a Black prism and rainbow t-shirt jamming on his Strobel Guitar, as well as his Fender Strat, was expert, a consummate professional, conscientious in his performance alongside bandmates, succeeding in entertaining the audience, whether picking, strumming or working his slide. The sound engineer, who had never set foot in the venue before, dialed in the room to support the music and made it delightful for the fans.
Scott Guberman, in his loose sweatshirt hoodie, and then a quality winter flannel shirt as the keyboard player, not only let his fingers do the talking, his alternating harmonies and rhythms delighted the audience, with vocal leads and background support, while conjuring music like a wizard casting spells over those who would peer over his shoulder on the left as he played at his Nord electric piano. Gube's brushed tan, ankle height boots pressed pedals on the right, obviously tapping the beat to inspire himself with a keen sense of tonality, as well as tempo.
Berry Oakley, the bass player, held the line with his range of low tones. A thumping driving rhythm was in sync, in the moment with the drummer, Pete Lavezzoli. His kit was masterfully present, his sticks plowing fertile ground through the crashes, the rides and the high-hat, without being overbearing even with steady rim shots, diddles around the toms, accented by a booming bass. He might could've used some chimes, but Pete is an accomplished percussionist, and in touring, there are tradeoffs to gear, as other band members had observed.
Mark Karan, the guitarist with a contemporary western, long-sleeved, black embroidered, pearl-snap shirt, crafted familiar themes around chords, notes and the resonance from the other instruments. Mark extends each and every one of the bars as his nimble fretwork enables the vibrato to be clear, while showcasing snappy, precise work with his guitar pick across all 6 strings, not unduly kicking the sound through widely changing effects using the pedal board. Regardless of his axe of choice, the Dire Wolf, or the other one (see what I did there), his rapport with the fellow musicians was palpable.
All of the individual artists' performances were shared, not just through to the paying customers, yet Mark was the traditionalist. He's been involved with a number of projects and music ventures. Current emphasis by The Gilmour Project, on interpretation, to sustain the classics, honors the musicians. Playing true to the originals while adding their respective modern style, 50 years on, these chords, bars and music had been burned into the community subconcious, by airplay, media, as a set of clips made famous over the past decades, The Gilmour Project blends the familiar from source material, to elevate the output. The frenetic manual dexterity of each to their instruments, draw out a brilliance in vocal, as well as, especially production, in tune, of a cadence or a tempo that both drives, and is driven by, instrumental, really sonic harmonious poetry. Each of the band members are reflective and thoughtful; the waves that emanate from such talents carry forward those echoes, of studio sessions long ago. The embrace of past, present and future, acknowledging their work, last night, will carry forward the music. The Band members are able to see and understand at some level, how what they are doing is connecting, at truly world class levels. The majesty of the 4 album sides came to life in the modern era, interpreted through the Gilmour Project.
