On the morning of May 12th, 1984 in downtown Greensboro, North Carolina, No Comparison, who's real name is Marvin Terrell Pickett was born. Named after the Motown duo of Marvin Gaye & Tammy Terrell, and related to Wilson "The Wicked" Pickett, it's safe to say music was in his blood since birth.
At the age of 8, Marvin lead a youth choir, but his first love has always been Hip-Hop. His older brother was a local DJ, and introduced him to the beats and rhymes of greats such as Run-DMC, Whodini, Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five, Rakim, KRS-One and countless others.
At the age of 14, Marvin transitioned from fan, to creator when he began making beats and writing lyrics Producing for several local acts through the years, 2019 was the year that No Comparison debut as an solo act writing, producing, mixing and mastering his own music top to bottom.
In an industry seemingly full of copy cats, No Comparison is on a mission to stand out. It's not only his name, it's a movement.
As an rapper, singer, producer, engineer, graphic artist and all-around music lover, he is a man of many hats.
