Daniel Fears has been a professional musician in Austin, Texas for 4 years, in which time he has been performed as a horn player alongside artists at Austin City Limits Music Festival, KUTX Studio 1A, ACL Live at the Moody Theater, Utopia Fest, and Blues on the Green. His new solo project is a culmination of years of musical experience in churches, dive bars, and concert halls, combined with a new element: his voice. Daniel layers sultry vocals reminiscent of John Legend and Stevie Wonder with smooth piano sounds influenced by gospel, soul, and funk, with the sensibilities of a classically trained musician. He’s been playing other people’s music for his entire life; this is his opportunity to express himself in the way he’s been dreaming of.
