Acerca De Matilda Duncan
Matilda Duncan
Matilda Duncan's debut single was uploaded to Triple J Unearthed as part of Unearthed High in 2018, landing her a spot alongside The Rubens on their national Lo La Ru Tour and kickstarting her professional music journey. The young indie/alternative singer-songwriter has gained airplay on Triple J, ABC National Radio, and even internationally. Matilda's songwriting and honest, folky lyricism have been praised by the likes of Jack Carty, Vera Blue and Triple J's Nkechi Anele, Claire Mooney and Declan Byrne.
Hailing from Far North Queensland, Matilda's sound is influenced by artists such as Pheobe Bridgers, Taylor Swift and City & Colour, weaving emotion into every note and word. Now a Melbourne local, Matilda has continued to evolve her sound and dip into the world of pop with the release of her debut EP 'Rust'

This was such a lovely afternoon with some great artists performing their original songs. Matilda Duncan is a very talented young lady and entertained us with some of her amazing original songs on both guitar and piano. What a great way to finish off the festival and what a great location.

Finally got to see this great up and coming artist with her band performing a headline show after a long time of support slots. She put on a great show engaging the audience right throughout. She has a such a vast array of styles and doesn’t stay in one lane. Her voice, guitar and songwriting skills are really starting to shine through
I can’t wait for the next one
