Born & raised in the small town of Macon, Georgia, a city known for its musical heritage, Matthew Thomas Hope found himself rooted in the local music scene at an early age. From the age of 13, Hope frequented the local bar circuit in what would become the formative years of his performing career.

Motivated by a deep passion for the art of songwriting, and predestined by his Family's musical background, Hope discovered his passion for songwriting and began writing and recording his own songs at 14. Shortly after his 18th Birthday, determined to chase his dreams, he left home for Nashville and hasn’t looked back.

Hope’s creative process is one of purpose, penning songs that tell a story and offer substance and truth. "I’ve always written songs from the heart, often inspired by everyday circumstances in my life," he says. Creating songs and soundscapes that defy certain genre-specific norms, Hope looks to write his own story and follow the path wherever it may lead.
