Desert of Talking Shadows is a Rock N’ Roll band out of Orange County, CA. It features Mikey Qubti on Vocals and Guitar and Detrick Forster on Drums. They formed in March of 2018, and played their first show just one month later at a sold out Viper Room in LA opening up for Jared James Nichols. They’ve since gotten opportunities to open up for names such as Radkey and The Graham Bonnet Band (former singer of Michael Schenker Group and Rainbow) and they’ve been playing extensively throughout Los Angeles, as well as making trips out to Las Vegas and Arizona to further the reach of their music. Their single “Crucify” has also been featured on KLOS, Classic Rock Magazine, and Planet Rock Radio. In 2021 they released their well received debut album "Foreshadowing". During a live performance that same year, Johnny Christ of Avenged Sevenfold said they have "a bright future". Their sound consists of a mix of 70’s blues swagger and punk attitude with the dark, grittiness of the 90’s grunge era. They’re young and they showcase an explosive, raw, and energetic live show that the likes of Nirvana or Guns N' Roses would be proud of.
