Paranoid Image was created by pianist, bassist, and songwriter / composer Christopher Malone and vocalist / lyricist / songwriter Sara Geller in late 2016. Christopher and Sara met in 2015 as members of the industrial band Scifidelic. They decided to create an all-acoustic band that featured the driving rhythms of the industrial/alternative music they played, but with hand percussion, and infuse it with Latin and other influences they love along with creative, beautiful melodies and deep lyrics.

They have grown their band to 6 current members. In January 2018, they released their first song, "Keep Your Heart", and in June 2018, they released their first full album of 10 songs called "Burning Paint". Their most recent singles, "(Trying to) Find Myself", "Chinese Checkers", and "Mutual Tension" were released in March and April 2021.

In 2023, four singles plus a full album (including those singles) are being released through the year. Songs include "90 Days", "Colorado Burns", and, for the first time, several covers including "Goodbye" (Apparat), and "Heavy in Your Arms" (Florence and The Machine), and "They Don't Care About Us" (Michael Jackson).

This "acoustic alternative" band hits on many genres and styles, including jazz, funk, disco, punk, rock, symphonic, and more.
