Acerca De The Heavy Sounds
The Heavy Sounds
The blueprint for The Heavy Sounds is simple: Keep the people dancing.
In the live show landscape of crowds with their arms crossed and heads nodding, The Heavy Sounds are an instrumental group that almost dare the audience not to dance.
Steeped in the soul and funk traditions of Booker T and the MG’s, Grant Green, The Meters and Jimmy Smith, The Heavy Sounds testament to instrumental soul music of the 60’s and early 70’s has quite literally created a band that can say everything while saying nothing.

Lo que dicen los fans
Dug it. Tasteful musicianship by a group of guys who truly respected the music they were performing and the crowd they were performing for.

The groove was real heavy Saturday night at Fitzgerald's. The sax, the organ, the bass, the drums, the lead guitar - Hey, that's everybody! Each musician found his groove. The crowd danced and rocked in their seats. When will they be back? We'll look for an opportunity to catch them again!
