Two time Calgary Music Award Nominee’s ‘Project Trybe’ might very well be the next big thing in Western Canadian Hip-Hop. After a decade of creating music together, the five man group are now preparing for their breakthrough year. Their debut release I Love Alberta Peace sold over 300 physical copies, and helped the group raise over $9500 in a widely successful Kickstarter campaign. The group was also selected by FACTOR for their Artists Development Program (2018) which awarded the Trybe a $2000 grant. Primarily spending their hours in the studio, they have however still made time to hit the road; including performing at every Alberta date of the Junk & Locksmith tour. They were also selected by Classified in 2018 to perform at a sold out show in their hometown (Red Deer). In October of 2019 the group released their follow up album, which plays more like a victorious debut release. Unlike the last disc, ‘Earth People’ is 100% produced, recorded, mixed & mastered by Project Trybe.
