The show that Bad Suns put on was very good; the acoustics were not. The 3 star rating is mostly due to the venue. The venue is intimate; it's basically an open area where everyone stands. There are areas on the sides where a person may be fortunate enough to sit. I mention this for the shorter people in the audience. If you don't maneuver your way towards the stage, you are going to be listening to the entertainment but not viewing them. It reminded me of the Ace of Spades in Sacramento; there are places to sit at the Ace of Spades if you want to pay considerably more. The Independent, which is the venue where Bad Suns performed, has a very limited balcony area but it was off limits for some reason. Back to Bad Suns' performance: the band performed for about 90 minutes. I am a big fan of the artist. The acoustics and the band's equipment did not play nice together. There were many times where it was hard to make out the vocals. Nonetheless, Bad Suns put on a very good show. If planning to attend a show at the Independent, I strongly suggest arriving early as parking availability is horrible.

It was okay, not as good as it could've been. I paid for VIP tickets, but missed the VIP meet and greet due to misreading the email with the information. I showed up at the venue 2 hours before the concert instead of 2 hours before doors open, which is my mistake. Unfortunately, my girlfriend began to feel ill, and I had to leave the concert early despite wanting to stay. It wasn't an amazing night but wasn't terrible either. Just kind of bummed since I was really looking forward to going to my first real Bad Suns concert and it didn't turn out how I hoped.

I genuinely believe that it's impossible for Bad Suns to not put on a great performance. This was our second time seeing one of their concerts and they come prepared to give WAY more than your money's worth in great music. Christo Bowman is a phenomenal showman and performer. He really knows how to stir the crowds up in an absolute frenzy and he even did a little crowd surfing for the Boston crowd! The icing on the cake is that they always wind up introducing opening bands that we, through them, discover how amazing THEIR music is as well. They're super approachable and very easy to talk to, so if you have an opportunity to see them in concert, spend the extra money and get VIP tickets. I promise you shant be disappointed. Plus.... and I can't stress how cool this is.... but with VIP tickets and the wherewithal to arrive early, you're very likely to get the front row which is mindblowing in and of itself. If Bad Suns comes back around again, you can bet I'll be back as well.

first off bad suns is always an incredible concert to go to. this was my second time seeing them and it was even better than the first. I did VIP the last time as well and it was very well organized as was this event. i’ve been to VIP events that were horribly unorganized and it made the event less enjoyable. the venue was spacious and clean, and the staff was very friendly. I was a little upset there was a barrier but i understand it’s for photography purposes which is fine. Overall, i would see bad suns at the royale again, but i would park closer than the 1/2 mile walk i had to my parking garage!

The concert was absolutely amazing but the moshing during the openers was very unpleasant to me as well as the people around me just trying to enjoy the music. It was fine when they stayed in one area but when they began pushing people who didn't want to mosh it was pretty disruptive. I know that it is not something that's very easy to control but if there's maybe a way to reserve moshing to one area it would've have been that much better.

WOW!! Bad Suns knows how to perform!! Very engaging. We loved the fact that they sang soo many songs! Definitely worth the money to see them live. I will be back when they come again. Even the crowd was good! A couple fan girls that needed to learn their place (as in stop rubbing up on me to get closer to Christo -you’re not getting anywhere, Denise) but overall 5 star experience.

The lighting/AV team were killin' it on this performance as the color and timing of the spotlights and strobes were perfectly in tune with the song and energy changes. The band provided a high energy performance the whole way through and gave enough banter with the audience to keep people engaged but not so as to drag on the time too long. Opening with "Away We Go" was the best and only logical choice, but I was surprised at how soon they played "Daft Pretty Boys" (thought they might save that one for later). The times the lead singer stood up on the edge of the stage and the crowd surged in around him were particularly fun/unexpected. There was a point during "Starjumper" I thought he might start crowdsurfing, and was kinda disappointed when he didn't. They played a fairly good mix of the new album and old favorites (only regret is that they didn't include "Disappear Here"). Pacing did lag at points. Opener Carlie Hanson was so-so, just came off way too aggressive/juvenile for my taste.

best. night. ever. i bought the vip tickets so i got to meet the band & be at barricade. the crowd was a lot better than most concerts i’ve been to. there were a couple aggressive fans that pushed but for the most part, it was fine. i went to catb concert a couple weeks ago and everyone got pushed and elbowed and punched so this was maintained well. the set list was amazing.

Bad suns; "sad buns"; beed söns, all of your nicknames, I can't thank u enough for how much of a positive impact you've had on my life. I love you with all my heart. Bad Suns never ever disappoint. I drove 6 hours from the Bay Area to Santa Barbara to see them because they're that worth it. The show was spectacular in every way and you can tell how grateful they are to be there onstage. I'm so in love with the guys and they always have amazing openers. Field Medic and Hunny were great too!

This show was one of my favorites. Such nice people and such high energy!!! love their music and love them live. I hope they come back soon!! the only bad part was the tour shirt sold out and i couldn't get one but i will get it when it goes online but otherwise soooo amazing and Christo was so sweet and so was Joey from From Indian Lakes!!!

Honestly one of the best concerts I've been to. Checked something of my bucket list last night after seeing both COIN and Bad Suns live. Not only was it an AMAZING show, but all the members of COIN were the most down to earth and amazing people I've ever met 💗 so good that I'm driving to three other of their concert dates!!

The first two bands stayed true to being hard working original artists. The bad Suns were my favorite. There were a lot of musicians on stage, adding some great layers to their songs. The headlining band didn't connect with me. I am in an all original band and the band lyrics and music seemed stale or written by someone who didn't tap into the emotions and depth that I feel, being a singer, they would be proud to showcase. The main band was superficial and more interested in simple lyrics that the general audience can bob their heads to. The lead singer has been through a lifetime of experience for his young age but his lyrics did not reflect the heart that he probably has. While his stage performance was ideal, standing on top of whatever was on stage, the band lacked the diversity in style as they played simple, obvious less original material, less creative in format, genius for connecting to the average joe.

The show was alright. They might have a way to go before they sell out any theaters. They played the stuff I know them from in the first half of their 7 or 8-song set. It didn't really help the momentum. But it looked like they were having fun and the audio was on point, so you can't really say they didn't care to please their core audience, even if it is a small one.

This show rocked. It was the start of a concert series at Park Tavern so I am looking to more good stuff there. The venue rocked it was such a cool indoor/outdoor venue. Beer was cheap but lines were a little long but thats to be a bit expected and the only draw back. The opener Electric Sons were great. As for the Bad Suns they rocked it. Absolutely killed this intimate venue and gave a show that even the people outside the gayes probably enjoyed. No need for all the graphics and lights and gimmicks Bad Suns rock without it.

No doubt, the best display of artistry and adrenaline I've witnessed. The light show was spectacular. Christo, Gavin, Miles and Ray had a riveting presence. The sound equipment was obviously taken care of and had been balanced well. All together a fantastic performance. My only complaint is that I was fortunate enough to have been a part of this 200 dollar per ticket quality for only 15 dollars. Well done boys.

Great performance as always! I saw Bad Suns a year ago in the Constellation Room and i loved that they mentioned it and thanked the fans who had returned to see them again. Christo really speaks to the audience and it makes for a pretty intimate show, which is impressive given the large crowd. Awesome opening bands as well; both Hunny and Coasts really impressed me. Love that they joined the crowd after their performances. One of the members of Coasts commented on my hairstyle, which was cool of him. Overall, a great evening. My only concern was the long amounts of time between sets. I waited about half an hour between Coasts and Bad Suns.

Bad Suns were douchers. They just stood behind the venue and wouldn't meet the fans even though there were only 4 of us back there. They just stood there and laughed at us. Finally, Matt from SomeKindaWonderful came and met the fans and got Miles but Miles seemed so disinterested in even conversing with us. Overall I was just kind of disappointed with BadS

I enjoyed the concert! Guys were great, the only thing is there was little crowd interaction, except for Christo calling out that guy that was texting haha (which was rad). I feel like ya'll still need to find your groove when it comes to the crowd and how you want to interact with them. Music was incredible as always. Can't wait for when you guys headline at HOB!!!
