Shard began in college, when several friends with very similar tastes in music got together to jam. Under its first incarnation it was called Crazy Lunatik, as that band began to falter out sprung Brazen Faced. Each band wanted to keep everything for posterity. Everything was always recorded while jamming in the studio or house which is why so many songs have lasted to this day. As Crazy Lunatik ended, 2 members decided they wanted more and Shard was born from the ashes of Brazen Faced. Never one to let down fans, Shard brought in great players and continued to record and play out. The 2 members who have done it this long are Avery and Adam (Lampshade), Adam left when Avery moved across the country. Now situated in Denver, Avery has recruited several people (names coming soon) to help once again resurrect Shard. They will be re-recording the Shard Demo EP and Infatuation off the Crazy Lunatik EP (adding in the forever missing verse). We are hoping to have it done this winter.
