The Pagan Jug Band is an all-acoustic, boot-stompin' band featuring a mean banjo and a rockin' guitar - throw in more strings, some brass, and a washboard and you've got a band that really knows how to get folks out of their seats and onto the dance floor! On any given Tuesday in Portland you'll see them playing their weekly "Pagan Tuesday" show - where the band sometimes swells up to 10 members as long-time fans and random passers-by join them on stage to keep the music communal. The Pagans have a large body of original songs that they mix seamlessly with carefully curated covers and traditionals.
