Katie Skene is a blues and Americana singer, guitarist and songwriter, based in Ventura, CA., and originally from Tallahassee, FL. Her music embodies the melding of her Southern roots with a decade spent on the West Coast. The result is a sound uniquely her own, infusing the twang of southern rock with the cosmic sounds of California.Through the prism of her evocative vocals, personal songwriting and masterful guitar work, Katie's music blends electric swamp blues with jam-band psychedelia.

Katie received a B.M. in Popular Music Performance from the University of Southern California. Since graduating in 2015, Katie has worked primarily on the West Coast, performing in the Jam-Band & Americana scene and collaborating with many legendary artists and musicians. Her latest single, "Rock 'n Roll Baby," will be on July 15, 2022, followed by an EP later this summer. She currently fronts the Katie Skene Band. Katie's other projects include jam-band supergroup California Kind (with John Molo, Pete Sears, Barry Sless & Rob Barraco) and Acid Americana duo, Katie & Andrea (with Andrea Whitt). All three groups perform Katie's original music. Katie also plays guitar with Farmer Dave & The Wizards of the West.
