Since the age of 4, music has always been a driving force in Shaun Martin's live. A native of Dallas, Tx, Shaun has always strived for the best in whatever platform he's given. I can give you all the typical scenarios. Grew up playing the piano in church, studied Classical piano, studied Jazz piano at Weatherford College and the University of North Texas.

He's a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, a school known for turning out successful artists such as Roy Hargrove, Norah Jones, Erykah Badu to name a few. But what's unique about Shaun is that he wears not one accomplishment on his shoulders. Multi- Grammy award winner and member of Snarky Puppy, Shaun feels that his greatest achievement has yet to be reached.

In 2015, he released his first solo record entitled "7 Summers" that owns up to procrastination that was rooted in fear and self-doubt. After overcoming those obstacles, and a challenge by his Pastor, he decided to finish his record and now so many people are touched by it because many of them share the same fears and doubts. The beautiful thing is that Shaun has so far to go and after being a sideman and a producer for so long, it's good to see him chart his own path and trust me, he's just getting started!
