The Modeens

The Modeens blast out high-octane rock with soaring vocal harmonies, 3 lead singers and a mix of garage, punk and psychedelia. They're a well-oiled machine with a reputation for making the audience dance, scream & shout. They've shared the bill with Reverend Horton Heat and Southern Culture on the Skids, playing Tucson institutions like The Rialto Theater, Club Congress, 191 Toole and Che's Lounge.

The Modeens started playing their unique take on garage rock in 2010, soon after Jamie Laboz and Cristina Williams moved to Tucson. They played many memorable Tucson shows and venues including several KXCI concerts at the Rialto (especially covering The Who's seminal album "Who's Next"), the first Tucson Club Crawl, HoCo Fest and many Great Cover Ups. After a break, they came back in 2025 with a new punk energy and attitude. “Rockin the Apocalypse” is a collection of new songs written in 2025 along with re-recordings of some of their classics - all recorded live in their home studio.
