If you like female vocalists, and musicians who infuse their individual influences of rock, metal, and indie, then you'll dig us! "One Time Hero got their start in the summer of 2009. Vocalist Jessa Loeffler and guitarist Chris Krause started jamming with the goal of writing music that people could relate to, was catchy, and was different than anything else out there. They slowly started getting a solid set of songs together. With the addition of bassist Paul Gravdal to the lineup, they dedicated 2010 to building a steadily increasing fan base. In Spring 2011, the band picked up drummer EJ Hayden and began playing packed shows around the Chicago area. In February of 2011 they released their highly anticipated debut EP, “Nothing Short of Leaving,” which was well received. The band continued their writing and musical exploration which has now led to the release of their sophomore album, “A Cool Rush of Burning.” The closeness of the group can really be felt with influences from each member penetrating each track. The new album, available on iTunes and Amazon, has caught the attention of local radio, having their latest single "One Chord" featured by 95 Wiil Rock."
