James sounds good, very melo show, he was on stage for 90 minutes, a lot of his songs sound alike, he mixed in a couple of Carol King songs, and was very nice. Tickets said show starts at 7:30, but some trio called tiny bits, opened so James didn’t go on until 8:25. I recommend you skip the openers and go in at 8 o’clock.

So nice to finally see James Taylor in concert at the beautiful Hollywood Bowl. He had a fantastic band and his son also sang with him. The second part of the show, he sang all my old favorites from the 70’s.

James Taylor was AMAZING!!! He didn’t have a support act which we loved it was him and his gifted band for two sublime sets. He started on time and wowed us for over two hours !! His voice is still amazing !! It was a night we will never forget. We loved standing at the front for the last part of the concert and seeing him up close. The concert was the best thing I’ve seen since the last time I saw him in Adelaide and 12 years ago when he played with Carol King at the same venue.Two days later I’m still on a high! Thankyou

Maine Savings Amphitheater exceeded my expectations. Taylor sang with a warm familiarity that I can remember from high school, nearly 50 years ago. His music will never grow old. He will be remembered, as Stephen Foster and Irving Berlin are remembered, as quintessentially American in his time. Very proud, as a "boomer," to claim his music for my generation.

Venue only had 1 gate open to enter! Very frustrating! James Taylor was awesome. He talked with the audience, gave insight to the songs, and signed autographs during the break! His voice was just a beautiful as the first time we saw him, in 1976!

show was good - however we could not see the stage because a group of high back chairs sat in front of us. It would have been nice it all the staff walking around would have enforced the lawn seating rules.

I have been to many JT concerts over the years and he was just great last night. Engaging, playful with the audience, and he and his All Star band were tight and well orchestra. I love the duet he did with his son to sing You Can Close Your Eyes. Excellent acoustics at the MGM - great music venue!

In all my years of going to concerts this was the very best of all of them! James Taylor made it seem as though the audience was part of the concert. Talking to us as people not fans. It was the most pleasurable time I have ever had at a concert

Having been to hundreds of concerts (probably 5 or 6 of James' shows), and actually produced some as well, I must say this was the best show I have seen- maybe ever! I don't recall ever seeing him with a 12-piece backup, and they were as good as it gets! Production was top-notch, lights and set were amazing, sound was so clear that I thought I was mixing it myself! And James was so personable, funny (you know his dry sense of humor) and it felt like he was hanging on my patio for the evening. Special bonus was his son singing back up and actually playing a duet as their final number of the encore. This is a definite Must See on this year's tour list!

I love James Taylor to my bones - he still blows audiences away at 74 and last night was no exception. One of the greatest American singer-songwriters ever and a huge influence on me as a musician. So grateful for this man and his artistry. What a transcendent night ❤️

James Taylor is an amazing story teller and his music is timeless. His “All-Star” band totally lived up to their title and it was endearing to see him perform with his son, Henry, who is a great performer himself. What a wonderful evening!

I’ve been in love with a James Taylor’s music for decades and have had happy many moments singing along with him. A lot of us waited a long time to see him on this tour having been cancelled twice. We weren’t disappointed if that could be an option anyway. He could just sit there and play his guitar and sing and I would be in heaven. But of course he had a kick ass band; musicians that have been around the musical block. What a treat to have them play with James. And you could tell James loved it also as after he gave them a great introduction, he shook their hand or gave them a hug. James still has a great voice and played many of his hits in front of a great stage setting, moving lights, Videos,beautiful pictures. He also is very funny. A wry dry sense of humour. Loved it. Jackson Browne was a treat too. His voice still sounds the same and his band was amazing too. James came on stage and sang the last song of Jackson’s set. We were surprised and so pleased to see him! I have to praise his backup singers. They were all very talented in their own right and some had sung with very famous singers (Aretha etc) We had almost 2hours of James and Co. His encore turned into more than a few beautiful songs one of them being one of my favorites, “Close your Eyes”. The harmonies were very heart warming and beautiful. It was a special evening and I truly hope this is not the last time we see him here again.

Played nearly all his hits. I like how He and Jackson Brown clearly get along and are brothers and music. The lack of one star has nothing to do with James Taylor and most to do with a Saddledome it’s just isn’t a great place for music

I hadn’t seen “String Bean” since the Never Die Young tour and he appears (obviously) to have slowed down a bit. His band, the creative lighting suspended from the ceiling, and his story telling intros made it worth the price of admission. Memorable moment, “We’ve been waiting all night to sing this one”- Carolina On My Mind in S. Carolina. A creative setlist spanning his career made this an over all A+!

I’ve seen him so many times before and have loved every concert. This show was different. The set was spectacular and intimate. JT was at his best. The band was spot on (as usual). Henry Taylor was singing background with his father and the interaction between the two made my heart melt. But having Jackson Browne on the ticket was just so special. They are fans of each other and and they came out to play on each other’s songs. Many encores later, I’ll remember this concert as one of my all time favorites.

He delivered AGAIN! I've seen James play eight times since 1973. Back then, he had himself, his guitar, a mic and a stool. Mid stage. Now, there is an entire entourage of musicians and crew, not to mention technology galore. Still . . . the most important ingredients of all remain consistent - his love for his craft and obviously, his talent. Thanks bringing it all these years, James!

He played for 2+ Hours with one intermission. I’ve seen him more times than i can remember but he plays the same stuff. nonetheless he play to the crowd and satisfied the crowd with the songs we want to hear and stuff he wanted to play. Tanglewood is the best place to hear him play because this is his favorite venue to perform at .

It was an amazing experience, I was worried what it’d be like as an American seeing these American music icons in England. While I think they weren’t as familiar with his music I think James Taylor got everyone into it and the energy was strongly felt.

Parking was terrible. The small chairs on the floor we sat on were made for 3rd graders. This was the first concert at the Ford Center ever, so they have a lot to learn. The sound was clear and the performance was amazing. I'll go see James Taylor again but probably not at the Ford Center.

Let's get one thing straight. James Taylor was pretty much perfect. I would give this concert FIVE STARS except that the venue was not "concert ready". This was the first concert at the Ford Center, and they have some upgrades to consider. The first and most important is to block off the concession areas from the seating. At this concert, the last few rows of the lower level sections sit just inside the concessions area where the noise levels are unmanageably high. Also, the bright light just over your shoulder is very distracting. We had to lean in and concentrate to actually understand what James was saying. Another thing we noticed was the constant flow of people walking around through our section to get to the floor. I am not sure how many people are on the floor, but I know it was a lot! With this set up, I would rather sit at the very back of the arena on the floor where the stage is a football field away. At least we could have enjoyed the music without all the concession noise.enjoyed the music
