They killed it! This was my 4th Mannequin Pussy show and this was the best one. Perfect setlist and they rocked it. Loud Bark and Ok? Ok! Ok! Ok! were two highlights and the mix of old songs was perfect.
This was the second time in as many years that I’ve seen them at Motorco and it was better than the first. Was even able to get a selfie with Josh and Olivia from the band. I can’t wait for the next time they’re in town!
Such an amazing performer. This is the second time seeing him at Motorco which is a great venue and the 7th time seeing him overall. Great introspective and romantic music. And Maddie Poppe was great too. Had never listened to her and I’m excited for her new album.
So heavy. We were excited about the show, but holy smokes they burned it down! They brought an unexpected level of enthusiasm to their live show and the audience fed off it and returned it. Love that in a live show. There was a good age range in the crowd and it was great to see the younger people in the crowd put down their phones and live (and dance) in the moment. Heard some great new songs as well.
Great concert as always. If you're reading this you deserve to treat yourself! As far as a small venue performance he does a great job. DJ Last word did a very good job and the opening act, Mally, was also good.
Hurricane Ian was passing through the area tonight. Driving in from Raleigh, I was facing torrential rain and 40mph wind gusts. Very few people were out and about.
Only the true fans shows up to the concert. The energy per attendee was off the charts! Never have I seen such a small crowd (100 maybe?) light up the room with energy like this. Roger fed off of it and we fed it back to him (along with a bunch of tequila).
There were song requests, great audience interaction, and even a proposal. There was a storm raging outside, but Motorco was the place to be tonight.
Two words: BAD ASS.
He captivated everyone’s attention just by being himself. His voice is so raw and real, and you can feel the emotion he puts into his songs. I really enjoyed the opener as well (Buffalo Hunt) and can’t wait to see David again!
Amazing amazing! So glad got to finally see one of my fav artists ever in my hometown. Satisfied 🙏🏽 Sorry about the glass I dropped got excited for my fave song of his!
First artist I've seen live since covid, and I wouldn't have it any other way. She's phenomenal, human, and so personable. Her music is beautiful, and it gives witness. I can't wait to see her again.
Loved the show. Was in the front and loved how they interacted with the audience. My favorite song is “Make You Feel That Way” and I got to see them perform it live. Very grateful.
Loved everything about the show the energy was fantastic!! I already love everything about this talented and handsome guy but the show just made it overall amazing!! This was definitely worth the 3 hour drive from VA 💖💖💖💖
Tobe had amazing energy and kept the crowd engaged. It was a very interactive show. Fat & Nell were dope. Luke sang his face off! Hope to catch them again.
Moonspell is ALWAYS a sure bet of sexy, gothy Metal. The music makes you ungulate to the beats and the vocals are frigging fire. I’ve seen Moonspell 7 or 8 times and they never disappoints me. I recommend seeing them every chance you get
Amorphis was great. This was my 6th Amorphis concert and they were great. They’re masters of they’re craft. I highly recommend seeing Amorphis every chance you get!!!
Performance was great. Being from out of town, we were unfamiliar with the Motorco, we were unaware that there was little to no seating available. This should’ve been communicated beforehand.
This was my first ever live show. It was fantastic. The venue was awesome, and SALES knows how to have fun on stage. The crowd was being constantly thanked for being fans and making the show so great. They were very humble as well. I would go many more times if I could. 10/10
Whoa! Where do I start? 😬😂. This was one of the more entertaining shows I’ve ever seen. But not necessarily for the right reasons.
Overall the show turned out to be really good with a lot of cool energy. However, it started off rocky to say the least. There had been some technical sound issues with the opening band which seemed to have been worked out. Well, as soon as Nikki’s band got on stage and plugged in, the glitches reappeared. They worked in it for about 10 min then decided to pushed on. It wasn’t the best decision. The next few songs sounded pretty horrible and Nikki’s frustration certainly showed. I could see things brewing until she hopped off stage and got into the face of the house’s sound tech and literally ran him off, never to return. I didn’t appreciate that sort of behavior from an artist. I didn’t care who you are, you don’t rip some dude who’s basically volunteering his time. If you want the sound to be perfect every night, travel with your own sound tech and equipment. End the end, Some guy from the crowd took over the sound board and got things fixed pretty well considering the circumstance.
After this point the energy in the club picked and everyone was having a good time. Nikki did a song sitting on the end of the stage with her acoustic and no mic. Very intimate and powerful. The evening ended with both bands up on stage rockin out and sending the crowd home pleased.
