Solomons Garden

Created in 2015 Solomons Garden, a collective of then 3 university student friends, started creating music with the aim of producing and writing songs for artists. Their aim and niche were to create music with a need to impact the music industry, music which possessed not only cleverly worded and thought provoking lyrics but also soulful, catchy and ‘head bopping’ beats. However, after working with their first artist the group felt 2 things, firstly, extremely exited and secondly, that they’d be better moving forward as a collective and releasing music as a group.
After spontaneously releasing their first song ‘Sand Dunes’ of January 2016 the group had an incredible reaction from the general public and within a short period of time the song hit it’s first thousand plays. It was then the group knew they were on to something special.
However, the spontaneous release caused a member of the group to have serious doubts about the future of the group, and with that decided to make their exit. This was a deep wound for the remaining members of the group and the group decided to take a break, which was at the time was likely to be indefinite.
Despite adversity and after a long break the group came back stronger than ever and with a new member who added a whole new dynamic to the music. Exploring the neo-soul, jazz, R&B avenue Solomons Garden became more and more experimental with the drive to make sure they would not be boxed or become too comfortable with a specific genre.
Solomons Garden Consists of 4 core members:
The founder MKFWI is a producer/songwriter who has been involved in the music Gospel, Hip-hop and R&B and Rock industry for over 10 years and has worked with the likes of John Gallen, Chip Kendall, Superhero, 3LAU, Switchfoot, Guvna B, Triple O, Jahaziel, Reuel Elijah; the list goes on.
Chanel Hemmings; singer-songwriter and triple jumper turned singer with a heart touching mind for lyrics and with captivating vocals
Erica Torres; a singer-songwriter and backing vocalist who decided it was time to take the forefront with her smooth yet powerful ‘in your face’ vocals and naked and truthful songwriting style.
And finally, Dan ‘The Whizz’ Todd, a producer/singer-songwriter who brings the soul to the group, with his rich chord progression choices and rich soulful Vocals.
With Solomons Garden gaining recognition fast from the industry and raising the bar with each release, the group is proving to be a force to be reckoned with whose sound is destined to re-shape the music industry.
