Jackson Kemp Music Biography
Jackson Kemp frequently performs at local establishments in the Columbia SC area, as well private events including wedding rehearsal dinners, charity galas/fundraisers, holiday celebrations, and more.
He has studied guitar under two of Columbia's greats: Rhett Sanders (The Casual Kings) and Don Russo (The Don Russo Trio), and is a guitar/ukulele instructor at Freeway Music Downtown, Columbia's premier music school where instruction is individually tailored to the student.
Jackson's musical influences span across many genres from pop/rock artists such as Maroon 5, Justin Timberlake, Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, Matchbox Twenty, Gavin DeGraw, and Ben Rector to blues guitar greats such as John Mayer, SRV, BB King, and Clapton in addition to reggae music (Sublime, 311, DISPATCH).
