Venice Official Biography

Alex Marrero has steadfastly established a name for himself in the global electronic dance music scene as DJ/Producer VENIICE. Given his relatively short time frame as a DJ the young artist has amassed impressive milestones of success. VENIICE made his Miami Music Week debut in March of 2015 performing alongside the finest talent in the industry. The MMW debut served as fuel to the fire that ignited a year of dedication, passion and wild success for the artist. It was only a matter of time until the DJ showcased his talent at the holy grail of EDM festivals, Electric Daisy Carnival. VENIICE made his Insomniac Events debut at EDC Orlando 2015. After a series of performances throughout 2016, VENIICE closed out the year with a mainstage performance at Insomniac's Countdown NYE 2016 in SoCal. Supported by Armin Van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Ferry Corsten, Paul Oakenfold, Andy Moor & many more, VENIICE has been labeled as one of the artists to watch in 2017. 2016 saw VENIICE's highly anticipated "Coming Undone' release on AVA Recordings/BlackHole recordings. Supported on ASOT 754 and 3x in a row on Ferry Corsten's "Ferry's Countdown" the song peaked at #11 on the Beatport Trance charts. VENIICE followed the success of "Coming Undone" with a highly anticipated remix of Andy Moor & Orkidea's classic "Year Zero" on AVA Recordings/BlackHole Recordings. The song was featured on Above & Beyond's Group Therapy 186 and peaked at #26 on the Beatport chart. October 2016 saw VENIICE's remix of Sylvia Tosun's hit track "Underlying Feeling" via BlackHole Recordings. Continuing his break from convention in 2017, VENIICE dazzled audiences at Miami Music Week showcasing a variety of unreleased tracks. VENIICE kicked off the year with an official remix to Andy Moor's A State Of Trance hit 'We Can Be Free' on BlackHole Recordings, AVA Recordings. Following the massive remix, VENIICE released "Naked" ft. Matthew Steeper on the legendary Magik Muzik (BlackHole Recordings) imprint. VENIICE's latest offering on Armada Music is a genre bending twist on Somna & Matthew Steeper's 'My Shelter' featured on A State Of Trance & supported by Armin Van Buuren. With an upcoming debut EP slated for 2017 on Tritonal & Will Holland's Enhanced imprint and performances across the US the future forecast looks nothing short of bright for VENIICE. Somna ft. Matthew Steeper 'My Shelter' (VENIICE Remix) is out now!
