For What You're Worth

Formed in East Kilbride in 2012, For What You're Worth are a 4 piece alternative rock quartet, renowned for their punishing live performances and vast variety of material. The band first achieved a small cult following (of 15 loyal fans) through playing shows at what some call their second home, The Classic Grand. Things began to pick up (a little) after the release of the debut EP, 'Live To Offend', which lead to many gigs in the Glasgow area, including established venues such as Oran Mor, Ivory Blacks, Pivo Pivo, and so on. Perhaps the most impressive achievement for the lads however was headlining the 02ABC2 in 2013, which also lead to an appearance in NME magazine, and many a tear in the bassists eyes. The fine year for the boys continued as they also won the annual battle of the bands contest at the Strathaven Balloon Festival, leaving them with a fine prize of recording sessions in the prestigious old mill studios. This year, 2014 saw the release of the long awaited single 'Dilemma', which was received warmly by the local scene and lead to a gig in the iconic 'Bar and Fly' to get 2014 off to a great start.
