Tribe of Kings

Tribe of Kings is a reggae sound system born in San Diego, California in 1997. Composed of Deejays Unite, Peril, Jester, Rashi & Dash Eye, this group of deejays has been hosting their own events and bringing the best in Roots and Culture Reggae and Dancehall music to the people all over the world. Past members also include Jaydread (founder), Stump-I (founder), Kofi, Marcus Black (RIP), and Tesfa. Tribe of Kings has shared the stage with legendary reggae artists such as Gregory Isaacs, Chronixx, Protoje, The Original Wailers, Collie Buddz, Gappy Ranks, Sister Nancy, Don Carlos, Barrington Levy, Beres Hammond, Wailing Souls, Mikey Dread, Junior Reid, Abyssinians, Ranking Joe, Shinehead, Carlton Livingston, King Jammy's, RSNY, Slightly Stoopid and Eek-a-Mouse, as well as at festivals like San Diego's legendary Bob Marley Day and Sierra Nevada World Music Festival. Tribe of Kings' flagship event is their weekly reggae dance Uptown Top Ranking which has been a Sunday night tradition in San Diego since 1997. It is currently one of the longest running reggae parties on the west coast attracting crowds in a nightclub/dancehall setting where Tribe of Kings selectors showcase their deejay talents and share their passion for reggae culture.
