the Scorseses

The Scorseses originally assembled in 2009, as a group of friends who enjoyed great music and wanted to celebrate the diverse influences that make up the New Orleans music scene. What began as an extracurricular activity, transformed into a serious passion to not only make amazing music but to create a new sound. The Scorseses were recognized for “Best Band Reinventing Their Game” in 2011 by the Best of the Big Easy Awards for Where Y’at Magazine. They have also played many festivals including Gulfport Music Festival, Houston Beer Festival, Mid-City Bayou Boogaloo, Houston Oktoberfest, ArtMelt, Texas RockFest, Red Gorilla Music Festival, and rocking faces everywhere in between. They have had the honor of sharing the stage with many great musicians, including touring with the legendary Fishbone in early 2013, which helped broaden their fan base. They also recorded their first full length album this year entitled "Magnumopus" released on September 28, 2013 and they were honored to be selected to perform at the Voodoo Experience in New Orleans in November 2013 and they are touring to support their new album in 2014.
