Nasc Biography
Nasc, meaning “link” in Irish, is a new cross-cultural collaboration based on the emergence of the Urban Gael in Scotland and Ireland. Featuring two of Scotland and Ireland’s finest young Gaelic singers, Maeve Mackinnon and Gráinne Holland, the group also features three phenomenal instrumentalists; Dónal O’Connor (At First Light), Ross Martin (Dàimh) and celebrated composer and cellist Neil Martin. The seeds of this collaboration first formed at festivals in Scotland and Ireland, and have since blossomed into a touring project in its own right with very recent, successful debut gigs in Glasgow and Belfast. There are also whisperings of an album happening in the not too distant future!
