Pulse Mavens Biography
Standing out from the crowd in today’s music scene isn’t easy, but Sydney-based pop rock band Pulse Mavens certainly have that special something that will make music fans and critics alike sit up and listen. Kait Hudson and Joseph Fahri met through mutual friends half a decade ago, and initially joined forces to play covers and jam. Their jamming sessions resulted in the two of them beginning to write a song – Memories – from the five track debut EP 'Fight Back' and the two knew instantly that they were on to something. Drawing inspiration from similar music backgrounds, they found their musical niche and the transition from jamming to writing songs was seamless. Making the decision to step aside from all other projects and concentrate on the band that would become Pulse Mavens, Kait and Joseph headed to Electric Sun Studios and recorded their Debut EP 'Fight Back' Recorded with producers Dave Petrovic (Northlane, Dream On Dreamer) & Whakaio Taahi (Tonight Alive) Fight Back the single was released with their debut music video. During 2014 Pulse Mavens released their second music video memories and then began sharing the stage with US bands Forever Came Calling, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and Hawthorne Heights, as well as going on their own co-headlining tour with Perth's Cupidfalls across the east coast of Australia gaining national recognition. Pulse Mavens then headlined 'Grrrls To The Front Festival' and helped raise $5000 for SOS womens services. Ending 2014 they released A new single "No Hard Feelings" at Electric Sun studios with the help of Jenna Mcfougall (Tonight Alive's front woman) along with a lyric video. Shortly after it was announced that Pulse Mavens were chosen out of 2000 applicants to be grant recipients of the AMP Tomorrow Fund to help fund their 2015 release. After being introduced to The Town Hall to perform by Wendy Harmer Pulse Mavens swiftly booked in with Aria Nominated producer Bryce Moorhead (Violent Soho) to record all of February. pulsemavens.com 5 Piece alternative rock band from Sydney, Australia.
