The current line up of the band have all been close friends all through Secondary School, where they all attended Blatchington Mill School, Brighton. Ironically it wasn’t until they all left and gone to college doing completely different subjects that the final line up changes were made and formed “Departure From Normal” in it’s current form. With 3 very different backgrounds and musical influences pulling together, Departure From Normal have created a unique sound, combining clean tones and catchy melodies with the raw energy and passion that made British music such a driving force in the international scene. There unique take on the Modern Brit Pop scene and original matirial is making them one of todays best young unsigned bands.
