Mark Scott Biography

I'm Mark Scott and I want to thank you for visiting our website. We truly love the entertainment business. Here at our site you'll hear my new music with Jenny Jenny Records. We know you'll enjoy the sounds . I grew up listening to Motown music,The Temptations,The Miracles, Four Tops, Marvin Gaye, Ronnie McNeir, Stevie Wonder and Groups like The O-Jays, The Intruders,The Impressions, The Four Seasons, and so many others . I've been in this business most of my life, since the age of nine starting in church then clubs, concert arena's and theater's. I recorded ' I don't want to come down' from the motion picture "Breakin II Electric Boo-ga-loo" at United sound studio in Detroit MI for Polygram Records .Produced by Don Davis who is a major influence on my musical career then and now .I've worked with Kieth Washington , Ron Banks ,George Clinton The Temptations featuring Dennis Edwards,The Contours , The Sound of the Supremes , Carl Carlton, The Four Tops, Michael Powell and many more.I've opened for such greats as Johnny Taylor ,Ohio Players ,The Commodores and others . Most recently I became the lead singer of "The Miracles" an opportunity I'm most pleased to have had.The future is bright with the production of my music after the Miracles , look for my new Single " Don't cry" May 28 ,2008 on Jenny Jenny Records. The best is yet to come . Much love to you all for your continued support . Born and educated in Flint, Michigan, lead singer Mark Scott is no stranger to the stage. He began his career with his brothers in a group called The Mark-Keys. The talented group received notoriety and opened for such acts as The Ohio Players, Johnny Taylor, Timmy Thomas and more. In 1984 he launched is solo career with the release of "Breaking II Electric Boogaloo". Scott performed "I Don't Wanna Come Down", the featured dancing on the ceiling scene on PolyGram Records/Canon Film Productions/Brownsugar Productions. Recording at United Sound Studio in Detroit, Michigan with producer Don Davis, Scott has sharpened his talents and studied with the cream of the crop - George Clinton, Ron Banks (Dramatics) and Big Daddy Boo Bear - giving him the opportunity to open for The Commodores at the IMA Sports Arena in Flint. This multi-talented , soft spoken gentleman released his first CD "Be my woman" on Tayjay Records founded by Mark Scott, Michael Broden and Lorenzo Brown. Tayjay Records keeps Mark busy but he still has found time to make a contribution to his community. Scott has teamed up with Al-Kebu-Lan Village, a non-profit organization to provide more opportunities to the youth of Detroit and beyond. I look forward to hearing from all of you. Feel free to email or write; your comments are welcome . Love and peace to you all! M. Scott Mark Scott talk with the troop on Hooah Radio
