Charlotte & The Co-Stars Biography

Charlotte & The Co-Stars is an Oslo, Norway-based rock band which has gained a formidable reputation as a live and recording act, not least thanks to their critically acclaimed albums and extensive gigging, which includes slots at major festivals as well as TV appearances.

Sharing a common musical genealogy with fellow Norwegian acts Madrugada, Ricochets and My Midnight Creeps, the band's music smells of dusty American highways, features heavy but twangy guitars, and is highlighted by lead singer and songwriter Charlotte Jacobsen's powerful and dynamic voice.

In January 2011 the band returned with their long-awaited sophomore effort, No-Tell Motel, produced by Cato "Salsa" Thomassen (Sivert Høyem, Madrugada). The album sports a significantly rawer sound than its predecessor Win Love Win (2007), and perfectly captures the band's evolution following line-up changes since the first record.

Among the new album's highlights is Players in a Drag, a duet with Ebbot Lundberg of The Soundtrack of Our Lives fame, who has been a longtime inspiration for the band.

Like its predecessor, No-Tell Motel has been met with widespread critical acclaim.

Following the album's release, the band have proceeded doing what they enjoy the most - grace the stage and play live.
