The Very First Teenager

Art does not work if it is calculated. Escapism does not work if you force it. The Very First Teenager have never calculated anything. Imagine you meet someone you don’t know at a gas station in the middle of nowhere and all you have to share is a can of beer in the middle of a night. But while you drink you decide to set up a band. If you do so you have understood what these absurd and wishful moments are meant to be for. For The Very First Teenager it was the beginning for what should follow: Record an audio track at a rehearsal room, write down sketches in a notebook, try out yourself in front of an audience and take those impressions to the studio, take a break, be engaged with other projects, go back on stage with TVFT, just play live and enjoy the moment. Beats, loops, a voice, a drum set, some analogue synthesizers, digital tunes. For TVFT these minimalistic sounds work without any perfectionistic obsession to put everything in a song that is technically possible. At the same time TVFT leaves you always with a pleasant and diffuse feeling that right here and right now everything is somehow alright. „The Very First Teenager Is A Punk Band“ is the opening line of the EP „You've Heard You've Seen You Know“.
