Rhino & The Ranters are playing a support set at Hot Club de Swing's Festival tea party! Hot Club de Swing is all about bringing back the speakeasy vibe of the 1920s prohibition era. Organised and curated by the Electric Swing Circus, you can expect to see a good mix of electro, swing and speakeasy jazz, along with cabaret performance and something that's just that little bit special.

Rhino & The Ranters Biography

Rhino and the Ranters are infamous for their high octane live sets and have been exciting audiences across the UK since they were gathered by Ryan Webb in London in 2009. Their raucous delivery and on-stage charisma has earned them a Faithful congregation . Their music has been described as Cow-Punk, Gothic Gospel Blues, a mixture of Roots, Rock and Roll and Bluegrass. They released their debut album, The Hanging Room in 2010 which includes many favourites of their live set, such as: Dr Ink, Radio Joe, Needlework and the unforgettable, Hallelujah. Songwriter, Ryan blends the dark imagery of death, witchcraft, addiction and madness with humour and wordplay all set to mesmerising melodies. The Band have released a 4 track EP, Half Quixote, currently available, and are currently working on their second album. The Ranters are now situated in the industrial gothic beast that is Birmingham and enjoy a large but cult status in the city. The assembly that make up this order are: Ryan Webb on vocals, guitar, banjo and harmonica, Loz Kingsley on mandolin and backing vocals, Andy Pell on guitar and backing vocals, drummer Pete Hammond (formerly of the influential post-punk band Au Pairs) and bass player Richard March, who was a founding member of 90s legends Pop Will Eat Itself and one half of chart toppers Bentley Rhythm Ace). The band has shared bills with such acts as: The Wonder Stuff, The Proclaimers, The Levellers, Roddy Radiation’s Skabilly Rebels, Hans Chew, Tom Hickox, The Twang,The Urban Voodoo Machine and Mat Fraser plus many more Worship at the altar of Cow-Punk Gothic Gospel Blues led by Ryan Webb.
