BlackBeatBlue Biography
BlackBeatBlue is a 3 piece Rock Band from Seattle, WA. Their Hard Rock sound can be described as Raw, Grungy, and considered very Northwest and Fresh. "Definitely a Seattle Sound, one I haven't heard before" says Jack Endino, legendary producer now working with the band. The band strove for a raw, edgy, live-based feel for the first record “Completely Different Animal.” The end result is a disc that has the classic vibe from the region (and what you might expect from an Endino-produced record) but also does an excellent job of bridging old to contemporary rock with spaced out guitars, metal driven bass riffs alongside heavy rock drumming fused throughout with a precise urgency. Jack Endino sent the album to the famous Jolene of 99.9 KISW The Rock of Seattle and she states “After one listen I knew I wanted to feature you as BJ Shea’s Loud And Local Band Of The Week.” Jolene then entered BlackBeatBlue’s song “Darkness Falls” in KISW’s Loud And Local Cockfight where the song was undefeated for a week straight landing them a title in the KISW Cockfight Hall Of Fame in December 2012 and an offer to play 99.9 KISW’s Pain In The Grass 2013. KISW’s Pain In The Grass was a great opportunity for the band, leading to CaviGold Records offering them a spot at Hempfest 2013 and eventually picking up the band. In 2014 the band was brought to Robert Lang Studios by CaviGold Records to record the second album and have Jack Endino engineer and produce the record. The album is due for release early to mid 2015. Seattle Rock Trio www.blackbeatblue.com
