Hudební skupina LUNO vznikla na konci roku 2009: Ema Brabcová – zpěv, klávesy Šmity – baskytara Jan Janečka - bicí Martyn Starý – kytara, klávesy Frontmankou kapely je Ema Brabcová známá z elektropopovéKhoiby, která svého času předskakovala i The Cure v Berlíně. Dalším neméně známým členem Luna je basák Šmity, který kdysi s Emou založil Roe-deer, hrál v Prostitutes a za poslední roky několikrát procestoval Evropu jako zvukař Black Lips. Jan Janečka je bubeník prvního kalibru, který se proslavil v Southpaw, hrál s Glenem Hansardem a nyní hostuje občas s Republic of Two. Posledním členem Luno je Martyn Starý, který je i přes své jméno z Luno nejmladší. I přes to si ale Martyn stačili vybudovat svým "zvukem kytary" na české indie scéně už svoji pověst. Kromě dvou řadových desek a dvou EP odehráli Luno už bezpočet koncertů nejen v České republice a na Slovensku. Úspěšný rok 2013 zakončili na podzim společnými pražskými koncerty s Placebo, Hurts a Au Revoir Simone. ------------------------------------ LUNO was formed at the end of the year 2009: Ema Brabcova - vocals, keys Smity - bass Martyn Stary - guitar Jan Janecka - drums The frontwoman of the band is Ema Brabcová known from the electropop band Kohiba, who, in their time, opened for The Cure in Berlin. Another well known member of Luno is the bassist Šmity, who co-formed Roe-deer with Ema, he also played in the Prostitutes. In the last few years he traveled all over Europe as the sound-man for the Black Lips. John Janečka is a first class drummer, who became well known for playing in Southpaw. He also played with Glen Hansard and is a member of the band Piano at the moment. The last member of Luno is Martyn Starý, who is in spite of his name the youngest member of the band (Starý means Old in Czech). Despite his age, Martyn already has quite a reputation on the Czech Indie scene thanks to his „guitar sound“. Martyn also has his own band Holden Caulfield. Besides two LPs and two EPs, Luno has toured a lot and played many festivals at home and abroad. For example the Europavox festival in Clermont-Ferrand (France), Pohoda festival in Trencin (Slovakia) or Wawe Gotik Treffen in Leipzig (Germany).
