The Heavy Heavy Hearts Biography

“Real-Deal Rock’n’Roll” “Hard Rock” “Southern Rock” "Blues Rock” “The Rock’n’Roll equivalent of fighting a bear” - you pick your poison…The Heavy Heavy Hearts have been called it all. Their monster sound is a musical cocktail of Blues, Rock, Funk, Metal and Country. Having been named to two Buzzfeed lists, “8 New Blues Bands You Need To Hear” in 2013 and “5 Bands that are Bringing Back True Rock’n’Roll” in early 2014, they are often compared to and put alongside other Rock acts such as Monster Truck, The Cadillac Three, Rival Sons, and Tyler Bryant and the Shakedown. In 2013, their single “Bottom of the Bottle” was featured in the MTV Movie “Made 2 :Ladies Man” and coming soon in April 2014, songs “Bottom of the Bottle” and “Lonely Man” will be featured in The Sony Pictures Film entitled “Bad Country.” Like a true tale of Rock’n’Roll mythology, The Heavy Heavy Hearts were conceived on a warm September night in 2012 standing outside of LA’s world famous Whisky A Go-Go. Lead Singer Beau James had assembled a dream-team of LA session players to record on his solo EP entitled “Dirty Lies.” James called upon drummer Ralph Alexander and guitarist Anthony Mancini. He also flew in from North Carolina bassist Clark Singleton to record on the EP. With Singleton back in North Carolina to finish music school, Beau had asked Anthony and Ralph along with Everybody Else bassist Austin Williams to perform Hollywood’s most famous stage the following night. After bringing the Whisky A Go-Go faithful to their knees, while standing outside the club, the idea of forming a band was floated. By October of 2012, a permanent bassist was found in Cooper Walker and the name “The Heavy Heavy Hearts” was coined. Once graduated from music school, Singleton relocated to LA to join the group, replacing Walker. The band spent most of 2013 playing every major club in LA, including The Viper Room, The Roxy, and Harvelle's, building a name for itself as one of LA’s top Rock acts. On the bands first birthday, October 25th 2013, The Heavy Heavy Hearts Beau James, Anthony Mancini, Ralph Alexander and Clark Singleton relocated the band to Nashville, TN where they have since picked up where they left off, further building on the buzz they started in LA. In February of 2014, The Heavy Heavy Hearts released two singles “Find Your Way” and “Lock Down A Lover” which were recorded at Swing House Studios in Hollywood, CA. A second yet–to-be-named EP is set to be released in Spring of 2014. The Rock n Roll equivalent of fighting a bear. Nashville, TN
