Shadower Biography
It all started when Shadower was in the 6th grade. Riding home on the school bus one day, he overheard a few guys freestyling and said to himself, “Hey, I can do that!” And that is exactly what he did. He jumped right in and spit his first freestyle. In 2010, more than 10 years later, he went on to release his first mixtape entitled "An Overcomer's Mixtape." The mixtape addressed overcoming life's challenges, and it quickly gained positive acclaim from fans, who praised its lyrical content. With songs that tackle social issues such as inner-city violence and child slavery, Shadower’s music proves to be a positive light in a culture that often glorifies a negative lifestyle. Having left a career in consulting to make music a full-time pursuit, Shadower’s passion defines both his music and his work. He is seeking to partner with charities in order to more fully carry out his mission of creating positive change. "Whether one of my songs helps a person get through a tough time or someone learns something from one of my mistakes, my goal is to help people in any way I can." The music video for his song "My God" premiered at the 2014 Richmond International Film Festival, telling the horrific story of a sex slavery victim. The same weekend, his music video "Found" premiered at the 2014 Macon Film Festival. This summer Shadower will release his debut EP, Blue Hearts. New music video "Found" - youtu.be/IqJ24oUG5a0
