Feral Brood Biography

Sheffield based 5 piece formed in 2012. Line up consisting of singer/guitarists Phil Goodwin and Dan Williamson, piano/organist Tom Goodwin, bassist Ash Romans and drummer Steve Broughton. With a self produced album already in the bag, this band is armed to the teeth, crammed into the cockpit of a supersonic jet and ready to drive home some missiles of sound. Turning songs on their head with his own inimitable style Tom comes straight from Hollywood Boulevard, with Manzerak-esque electric piano right through to nauseating, candy floss induced fairground blasts, a whirlwind of hair and showmanship ensures this Key player is unrivalled to watch and to listen to. Ash and Ste are a tight rhythm section with drums and bass that’ll give you one hell of a punch to the midriff, only to be matched by Phil and Dan’s relentless front man-ship which leaves crowds discombobulated in a hurricane of inexorable guitar and efficacious vocals. From sweat dripping down the walls and intimate crowds fighting for every breath to anthem expectant festival masses, this band takes no prisoners with their live show. From the gentle touch of harmony-laden “You Are The Sea”, to the rebellious raucous of “Machine” or the irresistible hook and catch of “Cold”, Feral Brood have a plethora of tunes strong enough to pass any old grey whistle test!
