From the Eyes of Erra

We are Kythera (formerly From the Eyes of Erra), a five piece progressive deathcore band from Dyersburg, TN. Our music consists of intricate guitar work and extreme drumming combined with brutal vocals. Our songs offer an intensity melted with melody known for embedding themselves in your memory. We take immense pride in giving a memorable live performance. You can expect to witness furious action along with proper execution of the music. Get ready to have a sweaty shirt, sore neck and shortness of breath! Kythera was started in June of 2011. We began writing and after a few months, our first (self titled) EP was complete. Word began getting around and we were getting positive feedback. We immediately began playing as many shows as we could and have shared the stage with national acts such as A Plea for Purging, Battlecross, Godforbid and Icon and Anchor. We learned about giving a truly professional performance both on and off stage from bands like these. The hunger to write soon came over us and in the fall of 2012 we moved to seven string guitars and took a more meticulous approach to song writing, which birthed our second and current EP "Chosen." We are currently playing out vigorously in support of Chosen. We made a huge jump in the quality of song writing on Chosen, but will never be satisfied. We will always strive to improve in every aspect of being musicians. We have already begun writing new material, and yet again improving our song writing. The next record will consist of a more progressive song structures while maintaining a melodic "catchyness." We set our goals high and understand that only through intense work ethic and perseverance they'll be reached.
