Bricks Without Straw

Bricks Without Straw are an alternative rock band from Leeds! The band all study music related courses at Leeds Metropolitan University, where they all first met. Richard and Pad had the same lectures and classes. After which they became good friends. They decided to start a band, but other members were needed! Jack weigh was of course the first port of call, as he was living with Pad in halls at the time and played bass guitar. So the band started to write there own songs and learn covers. Initially, the only shows they could play were acoustic. This was all well and good, and despite getting some great feedback and additional gigging opportunities, a drummer was needed so that the group could play what they had envisaged when the idea first came about. So in September 2013 Jack Dudill joined the band! This addition to the group pushed the band into another gear and they started playing live shows as the full band and recorded all the drums for there debut E.P. However after a few months, Jack made the decision to stop playing drums all together and unfortunately left the group. The hunt was on again, and after only a week another drummer of the name Thomas Todd was added, finishing off the quartet! The bands debut DEMO EP was released on the 1st December and they are doing a debut tour in late March. Bricks Without Straw are an alternative band from Leeds.
