State Of Negation

State Of Negation is the 5-headed metal-machine from the city of Haarlem, The Netherlands, founded in 2010. Having played at least 80 shows, 3 festivals (Beeckestijn Pop, Occultfest & Strudelfest), a well-viewed music video titled “Corruption”, winning the Dutch National Metal Battle 2011 and the regional contest “IJmond Popprijs”, they have managed to leave great impression on both young and old audiences. In 2012, State Of Negation has made big leap forwards in their career by doing support for the great SUICIDE SILENCE (US) in Het Patronaat, Haarlem. After 2 succesful years with lots of live shows it was time to release a debut EP. And so they did: on 01-02-2013 State Of Negation released their first and self-produced EP titled “PROJECT PAYBACK”, signalling the start of their career on recorded format. Influenced by modern metalbands (e.a. Lamb Of God, Trivium & Machine Head) the band has had only one purpose since it’s founding: Pounding modern metal with a simple & straightforward approach, catchy and accessible without sacrificing impact! Lyrics are mostly based on personal experiences, religion and a bit of political displeasure. State Of Negation plays their shows with lots of energy, a serious mindset and lots of fun!
