Romance For Ransom

Romance for Ransom plays breakup songs with rare rock power, fueled by a pop sensibility. The alt-rock/pop punk band’s genesis has roots in a side project started in late 2009 by Dylan and bassist Mickers McNally, who had been performing in rock’s Walking Ionia with guitarist Josh Stover. Eventually, Romance for Ransom became their full-time obsession. The band’s moniker, Romance for Ransom, was coined between McNally and Dylan as a means to "simplify the nature of every breakup song I've ever written. It's either fight or flight, and someone is always taken hostage." (Dylan) Since their project began, RFR has released an EP titled "5 Ways To Keep A Secret" and a single, "Jimmy", as well as released a music video through Cornerstone University's film program for their song "Recover", found on 5 Ways. Both EP and single are available on Bandcamp, iTunes, Google Play, and Amazon music.
