Nude and True

Nude and True is an indie rock band based in the college town of Chico, CA. The three piece is comprised of vocalist/guitarist Seth Prinz and is backed by a huge rhythm section provided by bassist Matt Parslow and drummer Nick Justice. The band’s origins can be traced back to Prinz’s decision to forgo his family’s high school football career for chance in the world of music. After playing in a few bands and failed projects, he decided to join forces with high school friend Nick Justice and together they released 3 singles under the moniker Nude and True. The lineup was solidified with the addition of their good friend Matt Parslow. The band boasts a very powerful sound reminiscent of early Cold War Kids infused with Say Anything and a touch of Modest Mouse. Their close relationship translates into every part of their deceptively challenging brand of indie rock and coupled with the band’s youthful showmanship and down to earth attitude has yielded them fans and supporters in every town they play in. Their live performances showcase Prinz’s charismatic onstage persona and dynamic vocal delivery along with Justice’s progressive drum technique, and Parslow’s grinding bass tone. Nude and True has put in a lot of hard work in the short time since their inception. They recorded a stunning 6 track EP in June of 2013 at Realsound Studios with producer Dryw Owens whose work boasts two From Indian Lakes albums and Culprit’s latest record. The band has also been consistenly growing their audience in northern California and are becoming a household name amongst indie rock lovers.
