By Crimson Light is a 5-piece post-melodic hardcore band formed in Manchester in 2012 by a dedicated group of musicians from the North of England which has since developed a unique style containing technical guitar work, new takes on the common breakdown and honest lyrics delivered in a blend of raw screams and soaring clean vocals while experimenting with complex rhythmic and harmonic concepts. Throughout the year 2012, By Crimson Light began to develop their unique sound taking influence from a range of genres including hardcore punk, post-hardcore, melodic hardcore and metal, culminating in the release of their self-produced debut EP 'Fragments' featuring the popular single 'Here By Sunrise (Hollow Eyes)' and the raw emotion of the title track 'Fragments'. 2012 saw the band play at well known local venues such as Manchester Club Academy, Retro Bar and Dry Live and also venture out of their home town to venues such as The Imperial in Chorley and Liberties in Middlesbrough. Following the positive response of both fans and promoters to their debut EP, By Crimson Light continued to develop their song writing abilities throughout 2013, incorporating more experimental aspects into their songs. They also developed a commanding and energetic live show which has since become a favourite to a number of local promoters due to its ability to bring in the band's existing fans while quickly capturing the attention of new fans with a range of musical tastes. 2013 also saw the band building a strong fan base and taking on a number headline slots including two shows at the well-known Manchester venue and nightclub 'Satan's Hollow'. By Crimson Light have recently completed the recording of their second EP 'Aeons' which will be released on the 31/03/2014 featuring their recent single 'Take Your Sweet Time'. The early months of 2014 have also seen By Crimson Light support a number of popular touring bands including Despite My Deepest Fear (22/03/2014), Fed To The Ocean and Elegies (formerly A Season Of Secrets). By Crimson Light are currently planning a North England in June 2014 and have a number of other exciting plans in the making with Lonesome Management.
