Getaway Club Biography

Getaway Club are an alternative rock quartet from the West Midlands, comprised of Jack Foster (drums), Andy Smith (Vocals/Guitar), Mitchell Vaughan (bass) and Oli Goodwin (Guitar). They possess a dynamic and versatile sound, fusing together rock, alternative, blues and funk. What's unique about Getaway Club is they don't like to stay in the same place for too long. They're always experimenting with different styles, using odd timing signatures, always pushing things further. The chemistry between these musicians is clearly evident, all members like to add their own personal stamp to the songs. "All On You" is a prime example, unique, expressive and dynamic. “We all love different types of music, and when we write, we bring all that to the table. It's four different personalities adding their own unique contribution, and the end result is something quite different.” The band have already made a mark on the local live scene, performing at national venues as O2 Academy and The End in Birmingham and The Robin 2 in Bilston, winning over both fans and critics. They were even mentioned in the gig listings section on Kerrang! Radio, surely a notable endorsement. Drummer Jack Foster said, “Performing live is always a great experience, it allows us to take the sound even further, experiment and improvise. We like to think that our live shows are our strong point, and we're always working on improving every aspect of them”
