IN DIVISION Biography

In Division is an up and coming, five piece, metalcore band hailing straight from one of the world’s best hardcore scenes, Boston Massachusetts. Still a relatively new group, In Division was formed a little less than a year ago by ex members of local bands of both Boston and Providence, Rhode Island such as Keystone, Constance Alive, The January Design, and The Ocean. Remaining unsigned to any label In Division is defining themselves to stick out in Boston’s ever growing metalcore scene with hard hitting tracks filled with passionate lyricism and vocals. Primarily based off of Brendan Sullivan’s powerful guttural screaming, but also featuring a few clean vocals of both guitarists Dan Martin, and Will Avila. It’s a shame that their were only two big choruses featuring Martin and Avila. They had such a sense of entitlement and power, I would have loved to have heard more of. Revelations is a five track debut EP that really flexes In Division’s strengths. Fast paced verses building up to hard hitting breakdowns and big, melodic choruses are the key ingredients to In Division’s empowering sound that’s referred to as running into a brick wall. Showing that through hard work and dedication great things can come, even so that In Division is already getting ready to get into the studio again. This time with audio engineer, Chris Piquette at No Boundaries Studios in Providence, Rhode Island. The anticipated second release is due late October/early November. In Division is coming out strong with their debut Revelations and hopefully even stronger with their sophomore release due in the fall. That being said I give In Division’s Revelations EP an absolutely solid 8.5/10. Awesome EP guys, can’t wait to hear the new material.
